Lewis Carroll (本名
Charles
Lutwidge Dodgson, 1832-1898)所創作的《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》(Alice's
Adventures in Wonderland, 1865)、《愛麗絲鏡中奇遇》(Through
the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, 1871)與《獵捕怪獸
Snark》(The
Hunting of the Snark, 1876).
皆為十九世紀倫敦印行的早期版本,
原出版社Macmillan布面壓紋燙金裝幀,
封面設計各自略有不同.
內頁插圖前兩本由
John
Tenniel繪製,
最後一本則由
Henry
Holiday所繪,
二人風格亦不盡相同.
由於世界各地插畫家,
童書愛好者與收藏家,
長久以來即尋覓珍藏以下經典,
致使
Carroll早期版本今日身價不凡.
